fuel pump replacement 700 1988

If that includes the parts then its not bad. A new bosch primary pump retails for around $450, although you can get it online for substantially less ($180 or so).

I would make sure he is planning on using OEM parts for everything, and that he is going to replace the filter as well as the pump. He should also replace the trans line from the filter to the pump (plastic piece and mounting bracket) which is a use once and discard part you pick-up from volvo.

But yeah, if he's using all new OEM parts and is replacing the aforementioned that sounds like a good deal.
