SW rear end likes to float a bit too much. 200 1984

Hi all,

my '84 245 rear end like to float sometimes when i hit a bump or few in a row, even sometimes with just one big bump. I replaced the rear shocks (mistake by putting cheapies in) about a year ago and the trailing arm bushings look ok, yes and the sway bar is still there. I was thinking about putting in 'boge' rear shocks, will this do the trick or do i need something else? What causes the back end to float from side to side slightly?

Thanks for all your advice,
Chuck
