How do I clean out pcv breather box on 88' 740 turbo wagon? 700

Guy on turbobrick told me I should do this as I think my car might be leaking from this area. wondering if I can do this in my own garage, or is their oil thats going to spill out everywhere if I take it out? Do I have to remove any other equipment to get at it? Which tools will I need? THanks.
