89 760 Turbo oil consumption question

Hi everyone.. I am new to the forum and have a question i hope you can help with. I have recently purchased a 1989 760 turbo i/c car. I love the car. It is in great shape and runs well.
I have one concern. The car does not leak any oil on the ground, i mean i have not found even one drop on my paved drive. The car also does not smoke out the exhaust AT ALL..
However, the car seems to be consuming oil excessively.. In 500 miles, the oil is now at 3/4 qt low. It was at the full line previously.. I can't understand what could be happening. There appear to be no "excessive" leaks (really none that i can find) and no smoke out the exhaust to indicate oil burn. Even when rev'ed the exhaust is clean.. The engine is relatively quiet with no excessive noise..
I am new to volvo's and am wondering about possibly a clogged pcv or other problem. I have been told these cars have a different style evac system.
Could the oil be going in the intercooler? I thought of this, but i should still make it's way in the intake and get burnt..
The plugs are new (i changed them) and the old ones were VERY clean and tannish/white.. Not indicating any oil burn.
Sorry for the length but i wanted to give as much detail so i can go in the right direction.. I really love the car and want to get this reconciled.
TIA..
