Intercoolers 700 1986

G'day all,

I have two questions, the first being:

What is the best cleaner/solvent to use to flush the factory intercooler?? MY HAynes manual says to use solvent but doesn't say what type.

My second question is has anyone ever relocated the factory intercooler to be a front mount rather then sandwiched between the radiator and the a/c condenser??
