Making a turbo engine last as long as a NA?

Keep your motor clean inside and out. For sure use synthetic oil. Change the oil as appropriate for the oil, the miles, driving style etc. Even Amsoil goes 10K max for turbos, so that should tell you something. Petroleum oil starts degrading right away at turbo temps and these degradation products are hard on the turbo and engine.

My 245Ti has 234,000 miles. My goal is 300K+. So far so good.

A turbo engine can last a long time - but if you drive it HARD there will be miles taken off....just happens...

Safe warm and cool downs help a lot. The MORE OIL capacity the better, too.
