VX camshaft and adjustable cam gear 700 1988

I have a 1988 740 turbo. I am thinking about installing the IPD VX camshaft and adjustable camshaft gear. Another possible upgrade would be switching from the stock to a free flow exhaust. Some or all of this in the name of getting more low end torque and quicker acceleration. Right now the car runs just fine, turbo works well although it has 225K miles on it. About a year ago, i completed suspension upgrades which included IPD anti swaybars, Bilstein shocks all around, some new bushing, ball joints etc and the lower stiffener bar. I am very pleased with the improved handling.

I would be very appreciative of comments, opinions, experience or tips for doing this installation.
