IPD flame trap 200 1987

Rich,

Several people have told me that the flame trap extension kit works great. I plan to make one. The regular flame trap kit, without the extension is two dollars from FCPGroton, if you want a new one. I believe the only other things you need are a length of hose and a short piece of rigid tubing. The short piece of pipe, say 3 or 4 inches, goes into one end of the long hose and sticks out and inch and one-haf or so. Then all you do is put the other end of the long length of hose over the nipple on the breather box, run the hose to where you want it, and plug the flame trap assembly into it, oriented the same way it was when you took it off the breather box in the first place. All you're doing is extending the nipple on the breater box to a more accessible spot. You just need a short piece of plastic pipe to bring the hose back down to a size that the flame trap assembly will plug onto. The other two hoses leading from the trap go to the same spots they always did. Or just buy the kit. Either way, people say it's really nice to have it set up that way. Good luck.
