fuel system problems 200 1983

My 83 Turbo had a wildly fluctuating idle when cold (almost die to 1200 RPM or so) that once the engine warmed up it it idled perfectly, it was almost like throwing a switch. On the emissions test I had extremely low CO reading so I put an allen wrench to the mixture screw in the fuel distributor and richened it by a little over 1/4 turn and that cured the idle "hunting" problem.

It still might for a few seconds, sometimes, when the ambient temperature is just right but for the most part it's gone, maybe another 1/8 turn might get rid of it altogether but I can live with it and my CO reading is still way under max for state requirements.
