High Idle, 1500rpm, why? 200 1984

Hi,

My '84 245 has an idle of about 1500rpm in park, once in drive (or any other than park) mode it moves to where it should be, 750rpm, but what is the reason and fix for the high park idle? Does this have any connection to the high quick peak of 2500rpm upon start up? it moves to 1500rpm after a 1/2 second.
