Power seat repair on 960? 900 1997

Hi all, this is my first post on the forum. I have a 1997 960, and the driver's power seat has stopped moving on the inside track. So when I move the seat back and forth, only the outboard side moves, and the whole seat starts pivoting.

I took the seat out and took off the track. The same motor seems to power fore/aft motion on both sides?? That motor is working just fine, because the outboard side moves freely. However, the inboard side does not want to move at all. Could this be a problem with the servo cable from the motor to the track gear? If so, how to diagnose and repair? Is it possible to take apart this thing with ordinary tools?

Thanks for any reply!

Norm
