Cold start Valve (injector) ? 700 1989

On particularly cold mornings (below 35) my car will still hesitate after it warms up. Idles fine. Just for the first hundred yards or so it hesitates. By this I mean gas pedal to the floor and it's struggling to go 15 mph. All at once something clicks (something happens) and the car is fine. Drive it all day with no problem. As long as it's not allowed to cool down after it's turned off it's fine. Now today it's 44 degrees here in NY and I got up this morning and it didn't do it. Tonight once it cools down it will probably do it. I think it's the cold start valve. Have checked everything else. Want to know if it could be anything else.
Thanks Carl
