Lumbar Support Broken 200 1985

I Have an 85 245dl (187000mi.) runs great looks above average. I just fixed the seat bottom by redoing the bars that the springs connect to(email me for details). Now that i got the bottom to feel right i need to fix the lumbar support. Anyone ever do this? Please help.
