Adding speakers to the front doors of a 92 740.

I was going to replace the front door speakers on my (new) 1992 740 Wagon. I pulled off the speaker grill and to my surprise there is no speaker. Strange! Just like the rear doors on my 95 940. Anyway, after some poking around in the door (I left the door on but cut through the place where a speaker would go (I am adding a speaker there anyway), I found what looks like speaker wire (I even think it was the tight color according to the diagram. But alas there is no power going to them!!! Ugghhh! Does something need to be connected somewhere? Amp maybe? Or do I need to add an addtional/different component? I am not sure why there is only 2 speakers in this system.
