Where is the Oil going 900 1991

On my 900 series volvo I am losing a lot of oil. I don't know much about cars but I know I am losing more than I should. I know that the turbo charged engines lose oil, but I am losing 5-6 litres every 5000km (3000 miles) I had one of these cars before with high milage, that I only lost 1-2 litres in same time. I have 243,000 Km's (152,000 miles)I believe have a B230FT engine. I was wondering where is the oil going. I don't see marks on the pavement, that are very large. How can this be fixed. I know oil isn't that expensive but this a pain.

Thanks Shawn
