240 stalling out!! Help!! FIXED!! 200 1990

So I tried a few more wire cleaning and fuse checking in vain.

Finally decided to take it to an independent mechanic, Volpar in Santa Clara CA.

They measured the electrical draw of the main fuel pump and found it was 24 to 28 amps, where the norm is around 18 amps.

So we dropped a new fuel pump and (out of my request) a new fuel pressure regulator.

Total bill was 460, but so far the car hasn't acted up. (keeping my fingers crossed).

BTW. Volpar is a good place for parts and service, they have many OEM parts on stock.
