New acquisition..'86 240 w/ bad head gasket.. 200 1986

How tough is it to replace a head gasket ??? What else should be done to the cylinder head ?? Is it just better to look for a b230 in the bone yard and replace the whole engine??? This car was just given to me by my in laws. The body and interior is in great shape.Used tranny early this year and wiring harness is also new..I appreciate any suggestion as to how to proceed w/ this project...Thanks in advance.
