260 intake vent cleaning

hey guys

I'm wondering if anybody knows how to clean the intake vents just in front of the windshield on the 200 series volvo's. I have tried a hose to force the pine needles, leafs, etc. down the sides and then clean it on the bottom. But that didn't work so then I tried some small needle nose pliers. No way. I'll be there forever.

I know there was a question like this about 3 months ago but I can't find it in the forum here. So any hints would be great as to how I would accomplish this.

Thanks in advance

Adrian
