Different Ignition Control Units for Auto or Standard Trannismission Volvos? 200 1983

VolvoGurus:
I am having a stumbling problem with my 83 245....new wiring harness is on the way, the repaired and spliced wires have lasted for 3 years.
I suspected the ICU and went to the Pick & Pull and got one from an 84 (same engine and Bosch LH 2.0). The Number on the "new" control unit is 1317295,USA. However, this one is for the automatic tranny (according to the RPR catalog), not the standard one. What will happen if I use this ICU on my standard tranny 83 245? Any damage?
Merry Solstice,
el Raidman
