Some new problems with the old brick 200

I hadnt been driving my 1984 244ti for a few weeks. I am thinking of selling it so i decided to drive it again while im deciding. On my drive i noticed that the oil pressure gauge was really jittery and bounced around the entire time. The car is an automatic and when i changed gears the shifter kinda got hung up when i shifted from park to reverse. Does this mean the trans is going out? Also the rear muffler sounded really loud so i think i need to replace it as well as the tailpipe. How much would that cost? Any ideas as to the reasons these things are heppening (esp. the trans) would be really helpful.
Thanks
