AC Belt replacement on 83 -240

On the '84 240 wagon we had-if the old A/C belt was needed replacing--I just disconnected the coil wire so the car wouldn't start--put the belt as much on as I could and had someone inside "tap" the starter gently until it sort of "snapped" on while I watched it-usually took a few trys---I don't really reccomend doing it that way because you could get hurt--gotta keep your hand away from it when the starter is "tapped"--and if the new belt isn't tight enough, you will have to do it the "correct" way anyway-- But-worked for me.
