Fuse #8 keeps blowing due to door locks. Where to start? (already checked archives) 200 1992

My daughter's 240 (the one the portable basketball hoop fell on during the wind storm)keeps blowing fuse #8 when she lifts the door lock knob to unlock the other doors. FWIW: She has an aftermarket stereo, which was probably blasting at the time, but it doesn't have a huge amplifier (just a $200 unit). I read the archives and one thread talks about the tailgate wiring may be frayed. But I don't have a tailgate. If I understood the messages, the blow fuse may be due to the unlocking part taking too long, thereby blowing the fuse.

Should I dig into the driver's door? Then what do I look for besides frayed wires? Lube the mechanisms? In other words, where to I start digging and what do I look for? I did clean the fuse contacts and put a little dielectric grease on #8.

Thanks.
