PV tie rod end compatablility B16 vs B18 444-544 1961

I just figured out that I also need new tie rod ends, but I am having trouble figuring out which ones I need.

Looking at the B16 parts manual (my 1961 P210 has B16), and looking at CVI-Automotives website and at GCP's website I am confused. The book and CVI claim that the B16 style is different and priecier. But my tierods don't look like the ones in the B16 parts manual (in the manual they don't have locking nuts on the end and have some weir tabby thing in the middle, and the rod is a straight tube). My tierods look more like the ones listed as B18 since my tierod has tapered ends (fatter middle section) with locking nuts on the ends. When I do a search in the GCP parts database they point me to the B18 models. Are they interechangable?? It seems to me if they have the same threads and the same taper that they should be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also one tierod end spins when I try to loosen the nut, any ideas or tricks??

thanks,

mario m.
