Later model rear ends have rear disks, not those archaic drums.
In fact, the first 140s had rear disks as early as 1967.
That means that a LOT of so-called "modren" cars are 25 or even
35 years behind the times!
All seriousness aside, though, you could probably fit an 1800
rear end if you really wanted to. Actually 4.1 isn't too bad,
especially if you are accustomed to a 4.56 like the wagons and
others have. Now there's a real revver! (but not particularly reverent,
in many ways fairly irreverent.)

Seriously, the revs are not that bad on the engine or the car,
they are pretty sturdy. What they really bother are the occupants.
