Strange Bulb In Blaupunkt Radio 140-160

Seasons Greetings All!!!
Finally got around to examining the radio in my 71 164. It's a
Blaupunkt Mannheim, from the good old days when Blaupunkt was still
a German product. Marked with the Euro scales: U/M/L (by the way,
I understand Medium & Long Wave, but what does 'U' stand for???).
The dial was not lighting-up, so I pulled the scale plate to
check the bulb. Never seen the like. It's 3/4" long; 1/4" diameter.
Instead of locating pins, it has 'fins' or 'ears' on each side which
provide a straight-in push fit in the socket. Naturally, it's
stamped for an oddball voltage--7.
Local stereo techs say they haven't seen one for years and don't
know where to get it now.
Suggestions, please. Is there a mail-order house for funny
Euro bulbs??? Thanx in advance for all info.
Hope Santa drops an R-Sport instrument cluster down your
chimney . . . wait, that don't sound quite right . . .
