where is 4th gear actuator/deactuator for O/D 200 1984

Hey y'all. Am still picking apart this O/D problem. The relay (blue box behind glove box) is sound. Have driven with my father manually actuating that and the springs in transmission, solenoid etc... is good. It does NOT disengage after being acutated when I shift out of 4th gear as it should. This leads me to believe that it is the switch in for the 4th gear position. Is this indeed located in the knob/gear shift rod? If so, I have tried to get this knob off and am having no luck. Suggestions. Sorry for being long-winded there.

Hannah
