Changing Tie Rods 200 1984

I never needed special tools to change my 240 tie rod ends. If you're not re-installing them, loosen the castle nut and give it a whack with a hammer - should come right out. As far as re-establishing the toe dimension, I've never been lucky - the replacement parts always seemed to be of different manufacture than the ones I was replacing. I would still count the number of turns in on the thread, but back that up with an accurate measurement (to the nearest 1/16th of an inch, or better) from the end of the inner tie rod to the center of the tie rod end.
