I encountered a similar problem last night driving from VA to PA. My headlight switch has also stopped working( I think this may be the cause of the problem, my wife also told me last night that the headlights flickered off and on a few days ago). Now my headlight switch will spin around and around with no effect and the idiot lights are on very dim when I start the engine. Could it just be the switch causing the problems? In a few minutes I'm going out to find out the problem, I'm going to start with my headlght switch and see if that solves it. I saw your post when I logged on and thought this might help you, I'll let you know if that does it, maybe we can fix yours, too. If any other BB'ers have any info, please, I am a 150 miles away from my wiring diagrams so I can't look and see if the headlight switch could affect my dash lights.
