B230 Interference engine? 900

Hm. Maybe I misunderstood your post... but I never would say that the B230 is an interference engine! They are definitely not (having lined up countless ones after timing belt failures).

However, I might have posted in such a manner that would have made one think the B230 is an interference engine. That becomes so much more likely if I was out for cocktails that evening :)

You can rest assured that if you have, or buy a B230 (not a B234) powered vehicle, a timing belt failure will do nothing but interrupt your progress. The replacement is as basic as lining up the marks and putting on a new belt.

I'm sorry if my post was confusing at some point.
