Cold start on my 1980 240 B21F 200

I hope someone can help, when cold my 1980 wagon is really hard to start, it starts great once warmed up. I troubleshoot with a Chilton (the only manual I have) and replaced the thermo time switch as the cold start injector seemed to be working as per the Chilton, this did not fix the problem, I got an oustanding deal on a new cold start injector so I changed that, now it starts right up when cold but will not stay running unless you preform a tap dance on the gas pedal, once warm it idles fine. Is there an adjustment I,m missing that is not in the Chilton manual? Thanks in advance for your time.
Rob
