performance turbo exhaust(cat back) 700 1989

I just recently installed a cat back system on the 740t,it has 2.5 inch tubing from the cat all the way to the single rear muffler that points straight back. The muffler is a "Magna Flow"style with a low restriction and nice low mellotone sound,I have no need for the center muffler and midrange torque and upeer end h.p. is much stronger, even the boost builds stronger and looks at times that is rises slightly higher. What are others using on the 740t as far as tubing diameter and brand?I have heard that 3.0 inch is the largest for the most extreme appications,I was concerned that a 3.0 inch may cause low end torque loss;maybee even hesitation.
