stumble 700 1990

I have been running a dawes device on my 90 B230FT for over a year without problems. It maxes at 13.5 psi on a calibrated boosit gauge, but I don't ask it to get there often or stay there long. Recently, it began to stumble when accelerating at wide open throttle, however, if I back off and then hit WOT again everything is ok up to 13.5 psi. I disconnected the dawes device and the engine pulls smoothly without stumbling reaching 7.5psi. I have checked all hoses for holes and cracks - can't find either. If the problem is caused by a weak hose, then why would it not reappear after backing off and then re-applying power when it will reach 13.5 psi?

Any ideas? Could fuel delivery be the cuplrit? I have not cleaned the injectors other than an occasional can of Techron, and it starts easily and idles smoothly.

regards,
Mark
