What's Leaking? 200 1985

Last legs on our 18 year old 240. One leak is a lovely redish brown leak. The area around the battery has this substance sprayed around it. This area is on the driver's side of the engine. I don't believe that it is oil. The car is a 5 speed. The substance drips into the lower shroud.

The other leak is antifreeze and it drips from the same shroud, but on the passenger's side. Neith the radiator nor radiator hose are the source of the leak. When I had the car's oil changed at the dealership, the person said that the fluids were not down. When the car has been parked in our garage for the week, there were about 20 drops of lovely color underneath each side of the shroud.

The car has only 140k on it, but it is rusted badly and I will not incur the big bill that I think may be waiting for us. So, give me the bad news
