Lh2.2 motor, into a 2.4 car??? 900

List,

I'm in the process of dropping a LH2.2 motor ('87 740) into a LH 2.4 car ('93 940-actually the regina system). After many hours, I came across one HUGE problem. The reference sensor for the 2.4 car was in the bellhousing and the sensor for the 2.2 motor comes off the distributor. They both have Red, white and ground wires.... Could I splice and then let the ECU read the signal from the distributor instead of from the flywheel? What problems am I going to have? Other than this everything seems in order. Suggestions? Cautions? Rants telling me how stupid this is? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks-

Nathan A. Courtright
