Fuel pump...any options?? 700 1987

Hey Guys,
My fuel high pressure pump just took a dump.clicks not constant, just when turned on, and gets quite hot. Makes no pressure though. I new it was gonna go cause it has been quite noisey.
My question is,why do we have to only use a volvo pump. Or do we?Can't Ibuy a after market holley or something? At allmost $200 this seem crazy. Someone has to make an after market fuel pump that will do what we need. We already have the pressure regulator on the rail anyway.
I hope somebody has an alternative solution for this. I just dont have that much cash right now to spare and I need to get the car back on the raod.
Thanks for any advise.
Rich
BTW I own an 87 740 turbo Wagon
