V6 760GLE can't idle 700 1984

My earlier posting today may have been a bit wordy and put people off. My apologies but I desperately need some help.
Can anyone explain what may be stopping my B28F V6 non-turbo engine with mechanical K-Jetronic from idling yet it will run well above 2000rpm?

As outlined previously it has a new engine harness, spark plugs, plug leads and valve tappet adjustment. I didn't adjust the ignition timing.

Any help would be most gratefully accepted.
