engine degreasing repercussions 700 1986

After degreasing my b230f N/A it now has driveability issues:

Occasionally at a stop light (under load/in gear) the engine will act like it wants to die and then rev up (because it almost died). However, sometimes it does actually die.

Prior to this problem, it would run rough when I put my foot into the accelorator (like it was missing). I attributed that with gelled up fuel? That problem has went away so I'm assuming I was correct.

However, this current issue has not gone away. I'm not sure if this problem is directly related to the engine degreasing or not. It seems too cooincidental not to be connected, though.

To make a long story short...
The engine stalls sometimes at a stop and runs a bit rougher when in gear. The idle valve/motor has been cleaned once before (about 2yrs ago).

Could the engine degreasing caused a bad FI injection ground connection behind the distributor (i.e. it got wet and corroded)? Or, not related to the degreasing... could it be FI relay, fuel pump issue, or clogged fuel filter (it has been changed within the last 2 years).

Thanks for any input
