Back To Work On My Toy 120-130 1963

You don't have to have any kind of brain to test the generator.
If when the car runs it puts out 13 volts or more it is probably OK.
If you take it off and hook 12 volts to the output and ground and it runs
like an electric motor it is probably OK.
Or you can take it to AutoZone or any generator shop and they will test
it for you, probably at no charge.

I'm still using the original generator (with a few repairs) on my 66 122
and am happy with it.
