I have a 89 240 DL Volvo that is my daughters. There may be two problems or one in the same. The problems just started a couple of months back. The vehicle has been well maintained and runs great other than the enclosed problem 1. In stop and go traffic on the hwy at low speed the vehicle will just quit but most often can be restarted. It does the same thing when starting out from a stop sign. Sometimes one must keep ones foot on the gas pedal intermittently. It may be days or weeks between problems. The problem almost always occures with the vehicle warm and in heavy traffic. Problem 2. The vehicle appears to buck in town when going from stop light to stop light. It happens most often when approaching the stop light or while waiting at the light. I have taken the vehicle to a repair shop two times and they can not find the problem. Have replace the Idle speed regulator. CAN ANYONE HELP?
PS Just blew the head gasket today!
