1980 244 ECU 200

Okay Guys, and you to BC. I finally got my little volvo back that my son drove for over a week without the ECU and now it has a slight skip that it didnt have before. I have put the ECU back in with a new O2 sensor and can hear the freq. valve operating. How do I determine if this slight little skip is fuel or electric? I am driving the car daily for about 2 miles 4 times a day. Could I have a burnt valve from letting my kid drive it without the ECU? Many electic grimlins have plaghed this little volvo and it has taken a great effort to get it back on the road. I would sell it for 500 bucks but I done spent so much time with it it is now like having a wife. cant live with it but dont want to see it go..
