Wife's 945 has lost heat at the worst possible time 900 1993

My wife's 945 just up and stop producing heat and in Atlanta it's been colder than normal. And this is after replacing both rear rotors and pads
(I am disappointed in Volvo - no wear indicators!) 2 days ago in 35 degree although dry weather, and with 10-20 mph winds to boot.

I digress....

It's not overheating.

Is it a known simple thermostat stuckage problem

or

is the valve to the heater core need attention?

or

Does some FRED need testing or replacing and if replacement is neccesary, do I need to sit down for the replacement cost or would it be easier for you to run the stake through my heart right now.

Any suggestions, tests, and other input would be appreciated. And does anyo ne know where to get manuals for a 945 and a 960?

iHs,

tf
