Does this make sense? (has anyone seen this before?!? 700

Hey All
On going problem with my car hesitating after it has warmed up. 185k miles
8v Bosch ignition
Have replaced everything I could think of. Now I finally believe I have found the source to my troubles! (hesiates once warm hit the gas and it goes away) Wanted to see if anyone has seen this before.
The distributor seal is warn in my car. Reached down below it and there is a small qty of oil just below distributor.. W/ 185k miles I know that the seal has never been changed.
Is it possible that the oil is fauling up my distributor points? When you hit the gas it burns the oil off. Now remember it only does this once the car is warmed up- Oil starts flowing goes into distr. starts hesitating.
Let me know what you think. Believe me I have checked everything else ( I mean everything)
Thanks in Advance
CJ
