air compressor, split charging system, winch bumpers ?

Some old busses and trucks used to use a York type belt driven compressor ( looked just like their AC compressors) to run the air brakes. I would imagine that one of those would work for what you are trying to do.

If you dig around a commercial truck boneyard, you could probably find a compressor and air tank to suit your needs.
