1st time Volvo shopper; what to look for on 960s? 900

I've heard the RWD Volvos tend to have less problems than the later FWD models, and since I'm trying to keep the price of the car at or below $10k it sounds like a good bet to me, as I've seen some cars that appear very clean.

But I'm a VW guy and don't know Volvos line much at all. I do think I want the 6cyl, not a turbo 4cyl. Is there a straight six and V6? If so, which one do I want?

Alot of 9xx cars I'm seeing are anywhere from 70k to 150k miles. Is 100k+ miles any big deal on a non-turbo that's been cared for?

I prefer a wagon to sedan. Do the wagons command a bit more money usually?

Should I consider a V70/V90, and if so, why?
