Driveshaft diameter question 200 1990

I installed a center support bearing on my '86 245 last fall. It took the larger bearing. My supplier said the smaller bearings were used on the earlier cars, around '79 or '80 or thereabouts.

In your shoes, I'd get both and return the wrong one.

Examine the foam rubber "donut" at the same time. They sometimes crumble with age.

"Do I just measure it using callipers?"

Essentially, yes -- you'd measure the ID of the bearing, which is a press fit over the machined OD of the splines.
