Will the guages out of an 82 GL Sedan work in an 85 DL Wagon? 200

I purchased a guage cluster out of an 82 sedan and I am going to install the tach and clock in my 85 wagon. Will the fuel and temp guage work in my wagon? I am going to use the original cluster....I am going to just replace the guages indiviually. My original guages have always read low so I thought I would replace them to see what different ones will read.

Are there any suggestions on what I might do while the cluster is out.....resolder points?

Also, What should I use to lubricate the speedo cable. Is grafite still the prefered lubricant?

Thanks in advance.
