Hot start Procedure 120-130

Charles;

I don't have all the answers either...as is shown by my "floor-it-and-crank-until-it-starts" solution not working out for Brett. I'm open to suggestions of the explanation.

When trying to figure the cause with an OE ignition sys., I don't really believe that your general statement of "deteriorated connections and components" can exlains it well enough...I mean there are VERY few connections involved, and the critical components of IGN SW, Coil, Dist, either work or they don't. I will agree that an upgraded ign system might have better luck igniting the mixture (masking the real issue), that's why I'd love to understand the exact mechanism orf the problem...if we did, maybe we could figure out what to suggest to Brett for a solution before he upgrades that ignition.

Lets continue this topic in a new thread.

Cheers
