Hot start Procedure 120-130

Brett;

Happy New Years back, and congrats on getting the Crane unit for what sounds like a good deal.

If the Crane unit is similar in operation and installation to the Pertronix unit, then use of the "installation kit", which "or-ties" power from two sources, precludes having to cut into the armoured cable. Details at: http://www.ipdusa.com/pdf/PI-023pertronixignition.pdf

Hook up the two RED wires indicated to Fuse 1 and terminal 50 of starter, and you're good to go!

If upgrading to the Crane ign cures the hot-start difficulties (without changing anything in the carburation), that sure suggests that ignition is the issue, although it doesn't explain it fully.

Cheers
