1990 240 crank sensor! 200 1990

Hello,
Anyone ever replace a crankshaft position sensor on a 1990 240 with the ez-k
ignition? I need to replace mine, but I am having trouble removing it. It looks to me like a plastic sensor that is held to a cast metal holder with one bolt. Do I need to remove the one bolt and slide out the sensor, or do I have to remove the two bolts holding the metal holder to the motor? It looks like the metal part cant be removed without seperating motor and tranny.

I really dont want to seperate the motor and tranny. I tried to pull off the plastic part from the metal, but it did not want to come loose. Is this normally hard to remove?

Help....
