Need Help! Got the nivomat conversion kit from Fcpgroton and springs look too big!` 700 1985

I just got the kit to change the rear springs and shocks to standard shocks,etc on my 760 ti wagon. It is an 85. When I looked at the springs on my wagon now, they appear to be almost half as short as the new ones. Is this right?? I dont think the new ones will fit.
